1. Test another electrical item

It might be that your electrical item or extension lead is faulty. Remove all extension leads and plug in another electrical item and see if works.

2. Check consumer unit for tripped RCD
|
It may be that no power is going to the socket because an RCD has tripped. Check that all the RCD switches are pointing in the same direction.
